The Kiwibit Smart Bird Feeder 2 Pro introduces two enhanced Keyshot capabilities: Ultra HD for highly detailed images and SwiftShot for capturing fast-moving moments.
This guide explains how the two features work, what their badges mean, and how to preview, edit, save, or share your Keyshot images.
1. What Is Keyshot?
Keyshot automatically selects still images from eligible bird recordings, making it easier to find and save memorable moments without reviewing every frame manually.
Depending on the recording settings, supported images may display an Ultra HD or SwiftShot badge in the Keyshot list and image details page.
2. What Is the Difference Between Ultra HD and SwiftShot?
2.1 Ultra HD
Ultra HD is designed for users who want greater image detail.
When the feeder records in 4K, eligible Keyshot images can be processed using cloud-based image enhancement and exported at up to 12 megapixels.
Ultra HD is best suited for:
- Detailed bird portraits
- Plumage and feather details
- Cropping while retaining more image detail
- Saving or sharing high-resolution images
The final enhanced image is generated when you use Export to save or share it.
2.2 SwiftShot
SwiftShot is designed for capturing fast movement.
When the feeder records in 120fps mode, Keyshot uses the high-frame-rate footage to capture clearer moments of fast movement:
- Birds taking off or landing
- Wing movement
- Quick jumps or turns
- Other fast activity around the feeder
SwiftShot prioritizes capturing the right moment rather than producing the highest possible image resolution.
3. When Will the Ultra HD or SwiftShot Badge Appear?
The badge is determined by the recording mode used when the video was created:
- Ultra HD: Appears on eligible Keyshot images captured from supported 4K recordings.
- SwiftShot: Appears on Keyshot images captured from 120fps recordings.
- No badge: The image is a standard Keyshot or was recorded using another resolution or frame-rate setting.
An image will not display both badges at the same time. Ultra HD and SwiftShot represent two different recording priorities:
- Choose Ultra HD when image detail is most important.
- Choose SwiftShot when capturing fast movement is most important.
Recordings made at 60fps do not receive a SwiftShot badge.
4. Why Does the Preview Look Different From the Exported Image?
The image displayed in the app is a preview and may not show the full quality of the final exported file.
For an Ultra HD Keyshot, cloud-based image enhancement is completed when you select Export and then save or share the image. The exported file may therefore appear clearer and contain more detail than the in-app preview.
A stable internet connection is required to process and export an Ultra HD image.
5. How Do I Export a Keyshot Image?
To save or share a Keyshot image:
- Open the Kiwibit app and locate the desired image on the Keyshot page.
- Open the image details page.
- Tap Export.
- Select the preferred aspect ratio and available editing options.
- Choose Save to download the image or Share to send it through a supported app.
6. Which Aspect Ratios Are Available?
The Export editor supports the following aspect ratios:
- Original: Preserves the original image ratio.
- 16:9: Suitable for widescreen displays and landscape content.
- 4:3: Provides a balanced format for bird portraits and general sharing.
- 1:1: Suitable for square social media posts.
The Original label identifies the ratio of the source image.
Selecting a different aspect ratio crops part of the image. Check the preview before saving or sharing to ensure that the bird remains properly framed.
7. Why Don’t I See an Ultra HD or SwiftShot Badge?
Please check the following:
- Confirm that you are using a supported Kiwibit Smart Bird Feeder 2 Pro.
- Confirm that the recording was created using the required mode:
- 4K for Ultra HD
- 120fps for SwiftShot
- Make sure the Kiwibit app is up to date.
- Reopen the Keyshot page after the recording has finished processing.
- Confirm that the applicable Kiwibit Plus benefits are active.
Changing the recording settings affects new recordings only. It does not add an Ultra HD or SwiftShot badge to images captured previously.
If the badge is still missing, please contact our Kiwibit Support and provide:
- The device SN
- A screenshot of the Keyshot image
- The approximate recording date and time
- The resolution and frame-rate settings used
8. Why Can’t I Export an Ultra HD Image?
Ultra HD images require cloud processing during export. If the export cannot be completed:
- Confirm that your phone has a stable internet connection.
- Keep the Kiwibit app open while the image is being processed.
- Try exporting the image again.
- Confirm that the app has permission to save photos to your device.
If the issue continues, please send Kiwibit Support a screenshot or screen recording of what happens during export.
9. Which Mode Should I Use?
Choose the mode based on what you want to capture:

Ultra HD and SwiftShot serve different purposes. Neither mode is better in every situation: Ultra HD favors detail, while SwiftShot favors motion.
