Set up Your Kiwibit Bird Feeder 2 Pro – Kiwibit

Welcome to Kiwibit! We're thrilled to help you get started with your new Kiwibit Bird Feeder. Just follow these simple steps to set it up and enjoy a whole new way to observe and connect with nature.

Step 1: Register and Log In to the Kiwibit App

Download the Kiwibit app from the App Store or Google Play.
Open the app and follow the instructions to register a new account or log in if you already have one.

Step 2: Remove the Insulation Sticker from the Battery Pack

Open the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the feeder.
Push the metal tab toward the battery pack to release it.
Peel off the orange insulation sticker from the battery pack.
Reinsert the battery pack.
Close the compartment securely.

Note: During the initial setup, after the battery is reinserted and the compartment is closed, the feeder will automatically power on and enter pairing mode. If this doesn't happen, simply follow the steps below to manually turn on the feeder and activate pairing mode.

Step 3: Power On and Activate Pairing Mode

Open the rubber cover at the back of the feeder to access the power button.
Press and hold the power button for about 5 seconds, until you hear a startup sound and see the blue indicator light.
Double-click the power button to enter pairing mode. You'll hear a repeating "ding ding ding ding" every 8–9 seconds and the blue light will start flashing.

Step 4: Connect the Feeder to the Kiwibit App

Open the Kiwibit app and go to the Home page.
Tap 'Add Device', or tap the '+' icon at the top right and then select 'Add Device'.
Follow the on-screen instructions to connect your feeder to Wi-Fi.

Note:
1. Please allow permissions like Bluetooth and Location to ensure the app can connect smoothly to your feeder.
2. The feeder supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi networks, allowing them to work with most modern home routers.
Once connected, the flashing light will turn solid, the repeating sound will stop, and you'll see the camera appear on the app's Home page.

Tips for Installing Your Feeder

Once the feeder has been successfully connected, you can proceed to install it.

We recommend fully charging the battery before installation.
Place your feeder within strong Wi-Fi range for smooth performance.
