The Power Settings page shows your bird feeder’s current charging status in the Kiwibit app. Here’s how to read each label.
1. Find your charging status
- Open the Kiwibit app and select your bird feeder.
- Tap the settings icon, then tap Power Settings.
- Check the label at the top of the page.
2. Battery power only — Not charging
Your feeder is running on its battery. The app does not show it charging right now.
3. Solar detected — Not charging
The app recognizes your solar panel, but the feeder is not charging yet. This can happen when the panel is not getting enough sunlight, such as at night or in heavy shade.
Unlike Battery power only, this label means the solar panel has been detected. Try placing the panel in direct sunlight, then tap Retry to check the status again.
4. Plug-in charging — Charging
The app shows your feeder charging through a power cable or charger.
If you’re using a solar panel instead, tap Retry to check the status again.
5. Solar charging — Charging
The app shows your feeder charging from its solar panel. The status may change as sunlight changes throughout the day.
6. If the status doesn’t match your setup
Tap Retry to check again. Make sure the charging connection is secure. If you use a solar panel, check that it is clean and receiving direct sunlight.
7. What does “Auto-On After Charging” do?
When this setting is on, your feeder will turn back on automatically after its battery runs out and it has charged again.
8. Have questions or need help?
If the status still doesn’t look right, we’re here to help. Open the Kiwibit app and go to Me > Request Help, or email us at support@kiwibit.com.
