This article provides a step-by-step guide for changing the length of video recordings on your Kiwibit device. Whether you're using cloud storage or a microSD card, you can easily customize the duration to suit your preferences.

Tap the gear icon on the camera feed to access Camera Settings.
-
Select Motion Detection.

Choose Cloud Recording Duration and select your preferred length:
-
With Free 1-Day Rolling Cloud Storage, the following recording length options are available:

Note: To enable cloud video recordings (instead of snapshot), it is necessary to either activate the free 1-day rolling cloud storage or subscribe to Kiwibit Plus.
Change SD Card Recording Duration
Kiwibit cameras support microSD cards from trusted brands, with a maximum capacity of 128GB and FAT32 formatting.
If a microSD card is inserted, follow these steps to adjust the recording duration:
-
Open the Kiwibit app and navigate to the Home page.
-
Tap the gear icon on the camera feed to access Camera Settings.
-
Select Motion Detection.
-
Tap Recording Setting.
-
Choose SD Card Recording Duration and select from the following options:
-
Up to 10 seconds
-
Up to 15 seconds
-
Up to 20 seconds
-
Up to 1 minute
-
Up to 2 minutes
-
Up to 3 minutes
-
Note: If you are unable to adjust the SD card recording duration, please verify that the SD card is detected properly. You can check the card's status by going to:
Home page > Camera Settings (gear icon) > SD Card Management
How Recording Duration Works
-
Recordings will automatically stop when motion ends or when the selected duration limit is reached — whichever comes first. For example, if "Up to 2 minutes" is selected and motion only lasts 6 seconds, the recording will end at 6 seconds.
-
Longer recordings can consume more battery. We recommend testing different durations to find the best balance between video coverage and battery life.
